The KP Law Abuse and Exploitation legal team has the professional expertise and experience necessary to support survivors of sexual abuse.
Individuals who have suffered sexual abuse and exploitation as part of a large group of survivors, whether in a personal, professional, or an institutional setting are entitled to seek justice and redress. KP Law is able to provide impartial, independent legal advice and support to individuals who have been involved in large scale systematic and institutional abuse, at the hands of either single or multiple individuals.
Our specialist team can explain potential routes to redress, and compensation, and advise on issues such as limitation periods, confidentiality, and evidence requirements. Importantly, contacting us does not mean you commit to legal action; it is however, often the first step in understanding the options available in a safe and confidential environment.
KP Law works on a trauma-informed basis, supporting our clients with sensitivity, confidentiality and an emphasis on putting their wellbeing first. We work closely with specialist barristers, psychologists, and forensic experts to build comprehensive cases that address both the factual circumstances of the abuse and the long-term psychological impact on survivors. We also have established close relationships with support networks, specialist charities and organisations who can also provide vital, non-legal support and help such as counselling.
In large-scale institutional claims, our specialist legal team will also examine whether businesses and organisations failed in their safeguarding duties, whether complaints were ignored or mishandled, and whether there were systemic issues that allowed abuse to continue unchecked. The aim is not only to secure justice and financial compensation, but also to achieve recognition for survivors and to hold everyone involved accountable.
KP Law is currently representing over 270 survivors to seek redress and justice for the systemic abused suffered in connection to Mohamed Al Fayed and Harrods. It is the only legal firm to have negotiated agreements with both the estate of the late Al Fayed (‘the Estate’) and Harrods, and have in place its own settlement mechanisms that offer a more trauma-informed, survivor-centred and protective alternative that directly addresses the concerns widely raised about the previous Harrods Redress Scheme.
The KP Law mechanisms put KP Law clients, not Harrods, or the Estate, in control, and, for the first time, gave survivors a meaningful choice in how they pursue the justice they deserve. In doing so, they addressed many of the criticisms levelled against the old scheme, and offer a structured, safeguarded and individually tailored pathway to redress in respect of one of the most significant instances of widespread abuse in modern times.
