Senior Associate Nathaniel Barber comments on the new Prime Minister’s plans to cast aside UK workers’ rights and protections in International Employment Lawyer.

Nathaniel’s comments were published in International Employment Lawyer, 15 September 2022, and can be found here.

“The new Prime Minister’s strategy to invigorate the economy with a ‘bonfire of workers’ rights’ is deeply flawed. As we have seen with the P&O Ferries debacle and the campaign for Equal Pay for Supermarket workers, this is not just a matter of economic prosperity and avoiding a recession – it is about protecting people’s lives and livelihoods.

Workers’ rights are already on a knife edge and the resolution of employment disputes is slow and costly. It is vital that vulnerable employees can continue to enforce their rights against powerful, deep-pocketed organisations.”

In February 2024, our firm changed its name from Keller Postman UK to KP Law.
